Tomorrow's the big day!

First up, International Trade Law. Ok la, this is one of my fav subjects and I think I can do it. Hope they don't spring super duper hard questions on us though, or else I'll fall flat on my face.

5/11 - Screen Theories and Techniques. Another unit I like... but Andrew's marking it so, ehehehehe....... no comments XD

9/11 - Managerial Economics. Notice how I always whine about my economics-related exam papers? =.=

16/11 (last one!) - Trade Finance and Foreign Exchange. Refer to statement above.
I know, my 1st exam paper starts on Thursday... wth am I doing blogging at this insane hour?! XD

*mock posh tone* It's passion for sharing + blogging + aesthetics, my dears =P

Sasha Vintage updated with an awesome collection - My Fair Lady! ^^

It's a theme that pays homage to classic elegance ala Audrey Hepburn, so you know it's going to be good if lace and demure wardrobe staples are your cup of tea ;)

I'm eyeing a particular piece that'll dig a hole in my bank account, but it's so pretty! XD

Go check out Sasha Vintage now! Just don't reserve/buy the Bow-Wow Bf Blazer before I do, hehe.

P/S: Plus point - owner Sasha Lian is very nice and pleasant! :)

P/P/S: I've officially gone nuts and bought the blazer! XD

I don't believe in paying PosLaju's high postage rates, but me caved in for this... Look at that beauty ^^

Avalanche - Marie Digby

I'll be the first to admit I'm no fan of Marie Digby, not because I don't like her - I'm just not that interested.

I don't know when Avalanche was released except that it's off her 2nd album, as I first heard the song on the radio.

It entertained me for a brief few minutes while I was annoyed that I was late for MUSA's appreciation dinner, battling the rain and rush hour traffic XD

The radio's what actually makes driving so enjoyable for me, singing aloud in the car with no one else to listen to your off key tunes ;)

Avalanche is one of those songs lah, good for chilling out to and it'll definitely appeal to the young crowd. I know I would love this song to bits if I was, say, 15 =P

Just like how I would be crazy over Hannah Montana's Best of Bost Worlds *grin*

Hehe, couldn't resist sharing the above picture.

Truth is, my room's lighting is the total opposite of the "emo bulb" now. It's a new tube of daylight fluorescent lamp... it feels like I'm sitting under the sun minus the heat.

Except that I am emo-ing over exams. Just as well the lights are like a smack in the face (and eyes *ouch*) to be optimistic XD

(I love natural daylight, btw ^^ )

Kit's sent over my package today! ^^ Probably receiving it in a couple of days' time. Zeus grant me the strength to actually read my lecture and tutorial notes instead of those enticing novels =.=

Btw, you've got to check this out!

http://lyndonwade.com/#/portfolio/room-107/86/

I'm not gonna spoil the fun by giving away too much, so just head on over and explore.

It's really interesting. Trust me ;)

Ta-to for now. Going for a complimentary beauty treatment later in DJ, and getting my hair cut... maybe XD

You guys and gals, seriously, the chatbox messages make me wanna cry (in a good way la, k?) :)

Chee-v kor, Mr Anderson, Stephanie, Sara, and many more... thanks for not giving up on my blog even when I did.

Tadaima! (I'm back)

KF pretty much forced me to update XD

... And I came back and realized the last post was a really misleading cliffhanger.

So here's a new one =P

Lately:

I found out Lady Gaga once did burlesque... wohoo! Makes sense, as she shows off some burlesque-ish moves in Eh Eh's video.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7iO7wGkHEMk

I love the vid! It's so colourful! XD

Purposely put a link instead of embedding as that version of the video is one of the clearest I've seen, with lyrics at the sidebar.

I also finally made the leap and bought preloved/books online! ^^

Quite a number of books coming by post... *bliss*. I love getting goodies in the mail :)

http://kitsbookshelf.blogspot.com
Books 'N' Stuff

Kit's having a clearance sale bcoz she's moving house, and I got some reads from her.

.All pics by Kit.

The Stone Menegarie, The Dragons at War, and The Once and Future King are pretty much standard stuff for me - magic, fantasy, etc XD

Kiki Strike got astoundingly good reviews on Amazon ;)

Susuk as I'm plain curious, lol.

Right now I'm pretty much waiting for the parcel to arrive, hope everything will turn out alright. Kit's been nice to deal with though :)

I'm such a hoarder. I'm moving house too by December, and exams are very near.... but I'm considering it as a pre-post exam treat =P

Wohoo Adele, hehe.

Ok la, this post's stretched wayyyyy too long.

Ciao for now! Finals in 8 days' time.

Gee >.<

I miss this place XD

Adele's updating tomorrow after her assignment gets submitted! ^^ Rushing to put the final touches to it right now ;)

Had a really busy and hectic Aidilfitri hols even though I don't really celebrate it =P

Hope everyone's well and in good spirits!

Feeling slightly more cheerful ^^

Hehe, I think it's the effect of chamomile tea. The taste is hard to get used to, but the effects are good... so.... it's all good! XD

bliss :)

My aunt brought back the tea from UK as a gift and I think it's only available locally, so I'm trying to make the 20 sachets last longer :P

I've managed to add more (hopefully substantial) words to my assignment and replied to most of moi's cbox messages. Yay!

Twitter and FB will have to wait though :(

Oh, as a quick read, MSN's Hot or Not fashion article on the Venice Film Festival photo call caught my eye.

http://lifestyle.malaysia.msn.com/Fashion/photos.aspx?cp-documentid=3578435&page=1

Agree with some, but disagree with quite a lot of the decisions.

This was voted Hot, but I think it's a tad on the safe and boring side.

Another Hot outfit I didn't like. Maybe make the dress that tiny bit longer? Seems more like a long top....

I like this outfit! ^^ ... But guess what, it got voted Not.

Definitely a HOT! ^^

Rawr! It's a HOT ;)
My blog darlings, I'll get back to y'all soon k?

Just handed in an assignment today, and already have another major one due next week =(

Feeling so emo and tired, although I know I shouldn't - it's my last assignment for the rest of the semester! Should be grateful for that...

But... Lots of things to do for this particular biggie worth 35% of the final grade.

Hopefully the blues fly away by tomorrow =)

The good times ^^

Breezin' through ^^

I'm feeling better and hopefully the sore throat won't take a turn for the worst. Managed to catch up with Managerial Economics assignment today.

Gosh do I detest formulas and calculations =.=

But, but, but..... something more cheery! =D

Space Munkeys XD

Sorry for the blah expression =P

First time taking pics with 3D glasses on. Weird experience indeed, hehe.

The pic's taken by KF and his cam, hence the overall 'look' is slightly different from mine.

Oh, and I finally watched The Cabinet of Dr Caligari!

It's an old, old, old (XD) film that we're encouraged to watch as part of Screen Theories and Techniques, although the movie's no longer in the syllabus.

Up for a not-so-scary, silent, horror film? =P

http://www.freemoviescinema.com/movies/43-horror/1809-the-cabinet-of-dr-caligari-1920.html

P/S: P.C. Ichigo Ramen saw a gorgeous blue party dress for sale at big-a-BOO blogshop!

It's her size and looks like it would fit really well on curvier babes ^^ Unfortunately though, she can't think of a reason to spend RM65 on an Australian import party dress she'll rarely wear.

Head on over if you're interested, before she changes her mind ;)

Just a short pop ^^

Compare and contrast:

Lady Gaga loosely interpreting Coldplay's Viva la Vida

The Original

Personally like both :)

Now I can finally understand the fuss over Lady Gaga's musical education. I love the jazzy interpretation of Viva la Vida. The trick is just not to compare it with Coldplay's.

Lady Gaga sounds vocally more impressive than Chris Martin when it's live and acoustic though, or it could be due to the video quality.

Either way, I love both versions :D

P/S: Not feeling well today. Waited 1 hour+ to see the doctor >.<

What Adele did today.....

:: Watched Up in 3D

My first time going 3D at a local cinema! And boy oh boy was Up nice ^^ I didn't expect the show to be romantic (this element of Up's hardly advertised) or to burst into tears ;)

Embarrassing, k? Was sniffing away and KF got so worried that I had to tell him I was crying because some of the scenes were so moving, and that yes I'm okay XD

I loveeee colourful ballons :)

Adorable cast of characters ^^

I'm just afraid that after this, I'll always want to watch shows in 3D. Expensive! Let's see... G-Force, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, A Christmas Carol............. *stares at empty purse* =P

:: Used my RM20 L'Occitane Bday Voucher

Got a revitalizing essential oils blend to use with my RM 5 Hinode shop diffuser XD The blend costs so much more than the diffuser =.=

Lovely scent- not too strong

Hopefully it'll help during stressful and tiring times ^^

:: Got a foundation sample from Clinique

Read about the 7-day trial foundation and custom-fit offer from My Women Stuff and since I was at 1U today, I thought... why not? ;)

The SA though, not what I expected =.= KF said it's probably because she's more comfortable conversing in Mandarin.

She came off a lil rude and pushy, and kept recommending that I switch back to the anti-blemish range (it dried out my skin so much last time that I had even more breakouts >.< ) .

But anyway, freebies are always nice and my trial foundation is Superbalanced in #27 :)

:: Pumped Petrol for the 1st Time

Okay, why am I even mentioning this? XD

But yup, I did it with KF's guidance! Now I know which side of the car the fuel tank is located at. Ha!

::Almost Finished Screen Theories & Techniques Assignment

Love the subject, dying with the assignment XD

It's seriously scary.... the 2,500 word essay carries 50% of the final marks for the subject. It's either you =) or =( with 2,500 words.

~ Off to watch some anime before sleeping. Ta-ta for now =)

Yay! Finally blogging again! =D

Sometime back, I decided I want a lomo camera and started doing research into this field *randomness* XD

It seemed like my kind of thing - just shoot and have fun capturing stuff on film. But, I concluded lomos are overpriced and decided normal old skool film camera would do.

Guess I won't be needing one though. My 3.0 megapixel phone camera and 4.0 megapixel digicam produces lomo-esque pics because of my 'artsy' photography skills =P

The oldest and most well known Catholic church in Melaka

By the Melaka River

These two places are right in the heart of Melaka's city center and just within walking distance from my grandmother's townhouse =)

Bizarre XD

This picture happened quite by accident XD My hand moved during the process and thus, the end product produced a 'fail' picture but one that is in the lomo tradition =P

Me and my 'excellent' photo taking skills, hehe.

So what say you? Is lomography just an excuse for bad photography, lazyness to digitally edit pictures, or a form of art?

Wa-cha! XD

Ta-da! How I look now.....

Photobucket

Photobucket

With my plushie - Mokona/MP-chan ^^

Photobucket

Cheeky-ness =P

Photobucket

My very old cupboard XD

Wearing: Oversized BF shirt in Black Criss Cross from http://www.miirage.blogspot.com/

Yup, the lappy in the pics is the very same laptop used to blog here @Ichigo Ramen!

Visited Thrift & Green ^^

Location-wise, 3 Two Square was easy to find (with the help of map provided by organizer) and parking was free! *I parked road-side XD *

Photobucket

In the car :)

Photobucket

See the cute little blue rabbit pin? ^^
My mum had it when she was a girl XD

Reached there quite early - around 12.40 or so - and managed to get a free black shopping bag (:

Although there weren't that many stalls there, saw quite a few pretty good stuff for shoppers to go crazy over, be it shoes or clothes or accessories.

I definitely went over-budget XD In fact, the ori plan was to stop by Lelong-Lelong Marketplace @ Asia Cafe SS15 as well for vintage goodies and more accessories....

....but spent too much just at Thrift & Green alone, and with the grey clouds looming overhead, the plan got abandoned =P

So happy though! I got a pair of shoes I've been lemming for recently ^^

Vivienne Westwood inspired flats <3>

I got the one in blue :) The one in black is a slightly different (and in my opinion not so nice) design, otherwise black's a useful colour to have ;)

I'm still searching for the Vivienne Westwood Melissa high-heeled version though. Blogged about the design two posts ago ^^

Other buys include:
* Cute brand new pre-loved top (confusing contradiction eh? XD )
* Customized charm bracelet
* Ring

XD

Hellooooo!

Congrats to all the fortunate Nuffnang bloggers who scored invites to Final Destination. Sadly though, I didn't submit an entry for this event, so I won't be seeing you guys (and gals) there.

Currently waiting for my Samsung PC Studio to fully install with the latest updates so that I can upload pics of my new hairstyle from phone to PC, and post them up here! ^^

Wednesday, August 26, 2009

Woot! My hair has a new 'do'! ^^

Hehe, it's a little like what Carla Bruni had a while back.

I did rebonding too though, so it looks rather like these:

Camilla Belle

Chio chic XD

The KF loves the new hairstyle :P

Quite a few of my friends had trouble recognizing me though, lol! I haven't had bangs and sleek hair for ages =D

Will post up real pics if possible (:

Overall I'm happy and satisfied with it. The stylist at Top Passion @ Tropicana City Mall did a good job ^^

And.... and... his assistant is a cutie! XD Bishie lovers, they've got hot hairstylists there, teehee.

Ohh, this is the new Miss Universe:

Stefanie Fernandez

I think she's really gorgeous. Classic Latin beauty and a lovely red gown ^^

But my gosh, imagine winning a major title at only 18! 0.0

She looks older than 18 though. Sort of a mature look instead of youthful innocence.

Undeniable however that she's got a great pageant wardrobe! =D

Her answer for the Q&A session's a classic too. When asked what challenges women face in heading a business, she replied that women have reached the same status as men.

Sassy and original ;)

Adele will brb! ^^

Working on a insanely insane assignment (is Vertigo one twisted movie or what? 0.0 )

2,500 words, worth 50% of my final marks. Yup, that bad XD

So sorry for not having time to reply to most of you yet. Still miss and think of ya'all bloggers yeah! I do read the cbox regularly ^^

I'm totally loving this right now...

Jelly sling-back heels in cheery colours. Woot! ^^

Pictures: Google Images

P/S: Alternatively, for quickie updates, Adele Tweets ;)

School work's brought me down these few days >.<

Lots of test and assignments due from now until September. And the course syllabus for some subjects are pure killjoy. I don't know if I can pull through this semester... just living on hope and a prayer now.

After 2 film noirs, I've come to the conclusion I dislike the genre. I really admire the stylistic aspects of noir, but the themes are just too disturbing. I like movies that are just that little bit more hopeful :)

Musicals, anyone? ;)

Another Nuffnang Premiere Screening! Who's going? ^^

I'm not sure yet, but I might go :)

It's another 'gruesome' movie. Seems like lots of those lately.

I never did like Nescafe or black coffee... until last semester in uni XD

Now Nescafe Ice/Kopi O Ice is my occasional sweet escape when campus life is "Aaargh!" inducing :P

At home, it's a nice warm mug of Apple tea, Green tea or Chamomile... bliss in a teacup ^^

http://nicolakeegan.wordpress.com/tag/recipe/

Hehe, apple tea~! *hearts* Click on the link above for more yummylicious recipes ^^

Weird fact: Adele feels sleepy after drinking warm tea, and HK style Yin-Yong Coffee+Tea brew.

Like...wtchipmunks, ya? XD Reverse caffeine effect.

Ohh yeah! For Nuffnangers going for the screening of Orphan tomorrow, have fun! :D

This berry can't go due to several reasons, so if you're one of the lucky ones to get the tickets passed on to you... enjoy ^^

I know this song is dated, but gosh... I love the lyrics :D

Natasha Bedingfield - These Words

After that very very long District 9 review... Adele will blog about herself XD

PuriCute!

La la la la la... childish grandmother :p

Anyway, the story is that on Thursday afternoon in uni, I started feeling tired and weak. My condition got worse and by night time, I was throwing up and had diarrhea.

Thus, was feeling pretty awful and this morning, I was quickly rushed to the clinic after complaining of body aches and a fever.

The doctor diagnosed me with... food poisoning :(

*luckily not H1N1*

Watching Vertigo on Thurday morning during lecture probably made the condition worse too. it's like one of the most disturbing shows I've watched :(

Came out of the show mentally disturbed and with a bitter taste in the mouth.

*shudders*

Bday this year quiet but unusal XD

Firstly, suspected I got the food poisoning from my bday lunch... and spending your 2oth with Aliens in District 9 is an unforgettable experience ;)

My Chinese bday (according to the Chinese Lunar calender, 30th August) should be more lively + the bf owes a mini celebration :P

...And....

I can't believe Pixie Lott's only 18! 0.0

Why wasn't I that hot instead of being one awkward mess when I saw 18? :P
