Catching up with Koyama Kei-chan's Member Love Nikki posts, I found out he has a 3 year-old nephew name Haruta! Such a nice name (:

Haru-chan is 3 years old (just 1 year older than my bro! XD ) and they seem pretty close. Kei clearly adores the little guy (:

Oh well.... said special ramen shop is *ta-da* Koyama's family's ramen shop- main branch (see? I learned something new [like it's going to help me score in Accounting =p ] ... it's actually a chain of shops, not just one like I've always assumed ^^ )

Anyway, I was searching for the address for ages, and it's good to finally have it =)

*sings* It's in Kanagawa XD Kanagawa-ken Sagamihara-shi Soubudai 1-24-9 to be exact. Haha... maybe that's the reason why I seem to have a soft spot for Kanagawa?? =p

I think the shop's named Ryutaro (but that's just me and my beginner-level Japanese , so no guarantees =p )

Anyway, word-of-mouth states that the ramen and hand-made gyoza (by Koyama's very own mother ^^ ) there is really good. The specialty's shouyu (soy sauce) ramen, which is one of my favourites, actually.

Hehe... I think it's every Kei-chan fangirl's dream to eat at the main shop where his mother supposedly is at very often.

Anyone lucky enough to be heading for Kanagawa in the near future? ^^

Weeeek - NEWS

[Lots of fangirling ahead]

That above is distracting me from studying Accounting. It makes me smile like an idiot, bob my head to the tune like a music junkie (haha... which I am, btw XD ), and makes my heart beat faster. Darn. I have a weakness for JE pretty boys in suits, and Weeek is one of NEWS' best songs ever (no surprise there, GreeeeN - which is an awesome non-JE group - wrote the song).

Smart thing they have going on too. Since Weeeek was used in the series of CMs NEWS did for Russ-K, listening to the songs inevitably makes you want to rush to watch the CMs again. Not to mention the fact that the CMs themselves are very good, since they're dressed in very cool clothes (well, they should be as Russ-K is a clothing brand) I wouldn't mind seeing on actual guys-on-the-street, and have some crazy antics in them.

Even the Limited Edition version of the single comes with the Russ-K style abbreviation for the members (YM [Yamashita], KY [Koyama], MD [Masuda], etc)

Anyway, NEWS' PVs generally come off looking cheap and a little fake. No change there for Weeeek's, but the guys goofing about (in suits!! ^^) pretending to be salary men more than make up for it. Just one question: Mr Director, were you trying to make Shige stand out? His suit is at least a few shades lighter than the other five's =p

P/S: Kei-chan is sooooo adorable with his hyperactive jumping about. He can't seem to stand still ne XD I melted at the part where he straightens his tie and then waves ^^

And I still want Tegoshi's stylist!! Haha... honestly, he seems to be getting more and more stylish, from clothes to appearance. He's got the confidence and slight arrogance to pull it off too, knowing he has one of the best voices in JE. I especially love the part towards the end where he slings his coat across his shoulder. So kakkoii!! =p

Adele has just heard some good NEWS (pun fully intended XD ) ~! Haha... icky finals have made things so hectic that the release of NEWS' new single and album passed me by on the 7th without moi even having a clue about the releases =p

Daddy.... are you going to Singapore anytime next month or in January?! I can't wait to get the Taiwan Edition from Singapore (since it's a given fact that Malaysia won't have it *glare* )

Anyway, the single is weeeek (yes, I had to count the e's to check I got it right, there are as many as my name XD ) and the album's pacific. Well, half the group likes islands especially Pi, so I guess it's not too weird. What's weird is having an album titled 'pacific' coming out in Winter. And nope, they're not in Hawaiian shirts or half naked in swim trunks (I wish! =p) for the cover picture, but in Autumn styles. So.... oh well, JE's eccentric anyway XD

P/S: Antic Cafe's single Kakusei Heroism ~The Hero Without a 'Name'~ sounds uncannily like a hodge pot of their other songs, but I'm glad Antic Cafe still sound like Antic Cafe despite not having Bou around and getting two additional members ^^

The costume's terribly awful though (I hope that's fake fur they're wearing >_< ), like what you would get when you merge gaudy red carpets with (dead) furry animals. So do try to concentrate on their faces, the special effects (flying, swings, etc.) and of course the song itself =p

P/S: Daylight robbery! The TVXQ! concert in Malaysia tickets are soooooo expensive. Sigh. *pout* Even the RM288 tickets are pretty far from the stage *dark look*

The pit zone sounds really cool, but that's like RM500+ Since that much was already spent on Lee Hom's concert ticket, I don't think I'll be dancing the night away in the pit zone at TVXQ's *cry* >_<>

Although I'm sure the reason why it's classified as pit zone and not mosh pit is because at least half of TVXQ's songs are slower ballads XD

Bleh... I don't quite like the poster, and can hardly see Max XD But still so awesome to see the words Stadium Merdeka, KL and their picture on the same sheet of paper ^^

I heard this song the other day, about how it's good sometimes when God doesn't answer your prayers, as he has something better in store for you... and although I'm a Theravada Buddhist and technically speaking, there is(are) no god(s) in Theravada Buddhism... ... my package from Hong Kong arrived yesterday! Yup yup, when I got home from accounting exam... I caught sight of it, in a padded, grey water-proof envelope on my shoe cabinet. Immediately suspecting it was my long-awaited package, I peered closer... and there it was, printed neatly on the label... Adelina Tan Eee Lin XD

It was worth not having my Never Ending Wonderful Story arrive earlier, just to be able to get it after falling sick on Monday and after Accounting exam (tough paper, but I tried my near-best considering I was ill on Monday night and wasn't feeling well while attempting the paper, but there goes my B16 and possible A17)

Well, I'll post pics, but later k? When trials are all over, and maybe not here, but on Vox ^^

Anyway, I've seen it - the glorious 2 DVD NEWS bonanza going by the moniker Never Ending Wonderful Story!! And.... *ta-da* I looooooove it to death life (because I love life! *gets stoned* =p )

Reviews perhaps coming up as well. Depends on whether Adele can stop laughing over the funny bits in the DVD and how lazy I am.

Quick comments:

• As usual, they had some pretty fuggly outfits but Yamapi looks good in darn much everything, and in nothing as well *thinking of the onsen scene* XD Notable exceptions are the ones they wore for Hoshi wo Mezashite, Snow Express, Love Addiction (Kei-chan solo... I'm bias XD and I like guys who look good in casual suits) and Miso Soup (Tegoshi and Massu duet)

• I want Tegoshi's stylist!! XD
  

Earliest version of NEWS, with all 9 initial members (and also Adele's fav line-up) Tegoshi is third from the left, top row.

Tegoshi now ^^ Love the hair. He looked good throughout the DVD as well.

• The solos! Massu's was pure crack the funniest, with Pumpkin. Yamapi (Gomen ne, Juliet) and Kei-chan's were hot, Shige's was sexy with the sofa and all (but outfit was a little mismatched XD ), Teshi's (Stars) was sweet and I didn't really like Ryo's (Code) =p

• The modified version of Dreams (towards the end of disc 2) was really touching, with the lyrics changed to incorporate NEWS into it. The members and fans at the concert were crying, and Adele wanted to cry as well. It's good to have NEWS back after their hiatus ^^

• Kei-chan and Shige look good in glasses ^^

• I've never really noticed it, but Kei's front tooth (bottom row) is crooked. Cute! ^^

• Kei-chan and Shige can go really nuts in their hotel room (documentary in Kagoshima XD )

• One day, if I continue being a Japanese pop culture fan, I might start spouting Engrish (love, in Engrish - rabu; happy birthday, in Engrish - ha pi buff dae [or something along those lines XD ] and 'chu' and 'kissu [kiss]' and 'starto [start]', and 'charm-pi-on [champion]' and 'be heat revolution [lol, I always thought it was bi-ig revolution =p ]' and many, many more XD )

I am so envious of the Taiwanese who get to see NEWS live in Taipei in October.

Yay! I get to place my order for Never Ending Wonderful Story middle of next week! Yup, I've been given the go-ahead by my mum!

But, this means I probably won't be getting Arashi Around Asia anytime soon (Adele wants!! >_< )

So effectively, I chose NEWS over Arashi. And the fact that I didn't ask dad to scour Singapore for Arashi Around Asia or Arashi's new album Time on my behalf is because... I'm saving that request for NEWS' new album (whenever it is that they'll be releasing one)

Yes, I'm very very close to pre-ordering Never Ending Wonderful Story Taiwan Edition from YesAsia. And I want to do it soon, to get hold of the Limited Edition version. Muahahaha... it's the version with the 24 page booklet... and fromt he scans I've seen (some posted above), the pics are absolutely yummy! ^^

So far, almost every review I've read has been very favorable ^^ But almost everyone who bought the DVD and invested time to review it would be a NEWS fan XD

Hahaha... sorry if I sound delirious... fangirling does that to even the sanest of people =p Now, please excuse me while I go stare at Never Ending Wonderful Story.

Some of Koyote's (awesome Korean dance pop group) songs always somehow manage to lighten my spirits a little. I am still confused... but I really can't afford to dwell on it. I already have too much on my mind, and I've got to empty the cache of thoughts in my mind that are of him (easier said than done =_= ) and Tze Yin's going to skin me alive later since I forgot to log in to MSN messenger again, for the 2nd day in a row, to discuss our IT project. So sorry!

And know what?? I miss Aaron too..... even though half the time I feel more depressed and bothered after speaking to him. That is, unless he did not have too busy a day and is in a good mood, and that's rare.

And... Adele realizes (not for the 1st time la XD ) ... that hols are well and all... but more than a few days of hols and I go nuts. I really did miss having some sort of 'aim' and productive schedule (classes at college) rather than getting up REALLY late (just in time for lunch =p ), sleeping REALLY late, lazing around and staring at the computer screen.

Because you see, Adele runs on 'kiasu-ism'. In other words, if I don't feel motivated (and I usually don't when I'm at home), I'll hardly touch my school work. And I missed my friends, both old and new!! What will I do without my ex-5A-in-Taylor's gang after finishing SAM (and the dreadful torture of long hols start)? Drive (assuming by then that I'm able to, and that I actually can) all the way to Taylor's to visit you guys? Only Wye Luun and I will be out of college by then.

Speaking of old friends from 5A... the very first person in our group to leave overseas will be departing for Russia soon. Yup, Kevin will be leaving to study medicine middle of next month, on JPA scholarship. And Wye Luun will be going India next year. Jen will be heading abroad too after she's completed CAL. And me? Well, I could be doing a twinning programme here, or in Australia (although it's unlikely I'll be there as soon as next year) or in Singapore (I admit, Singapore sounds more & more attractive... but I feel like I'm letting myself get disappointed since NUS and NTU are soooooo hard to get in).

Sigh... what if I get suicidal again without the steadying presence of school/college and supportive friendship to take my mind off darker thoughts? I don't want to sink into the black hole of serious depression again.

Oh, but there's happy NEWS! Haha... pun fully intended XD My fav Johnny's group - NEWS - will be releasing the Taiwan version of their Never Ending Wonderful Story (GREAT acronym. I'm sure fangirls can relate to that =p ) concert DVD!!!!!!!!!!!! Actually, I'm MORE than happy, I'm delirious with JOY! I guess I'll either have to wait and see if there will be a VCD vesion and whether I cna get it from Singapore, or preorder it online ASAP from YesAsia. Since there's free shipping, I guess YesAsia could work out. the DVD's expensive though. Almost RM119 for the limited edition and RM109 for the normal ed.

This is still fantastic NEWS XD though! My fav guys (hahaha... kidding =p) were previously on hiatus for most of 2006, and I've yet to watch one of their concerts on DVD. Needless to say, I love my ARASHI 2003 concert VCD to bits XD
